Fall Highlights in Montello Park
This fall in Montello Park included a mix of outreach, community gatherings, and early leadership development. Alongside ongoing door-to-door outreach, neighbors and partners gathered for shared activities, continued building relationships, and began preparing for spring opportunities to connect.
Community Gatherings at Wildwood Creek Manor
On October 15, neighbors gathered for a ukulele sing-along at Wildwood Creek Manor, led by Ken Freestone. Later in the month, on October 29, a reverse “trunk or treat” event was held for residents of Wildwood Creek Manor in partnership with the Holland Police Department.
Invitations were sent to businesses and neighbors throughout Montello Park to participate. Two local businesses, Plush Salon and Dollar General, joined the effort and helped support the event.
Growing Leadership and Connection
Work is underway to develop a team of neighborhood leaders in Montello Park. To date, three block connectors have stepped into this role, with continued efforts focused on building relationships and inviting broader participation. 3Sixty maintains regular communication with Montello Park residents through a neighborhood newsletter, Facebook updates, and an active website. In addition, there is a private Facebook group administered by neighbors where 3Sixty shares updates and event information.
Looking Ahead to Spring
Planning is underway for a Neighborhood Spring Cleanup scheduled for April 25. Outreach with local businesses will continue as a way to share information about 3Sixty and upcoming neighborhood activities, including opportunities to post flyers and host informal meetups.
