Eastcore Murals Tour

60 minutes | $25 | Meet at the 3Sixty Hub

Explore the stories behind Eastcore’s vibrant public art on this 60-minute guided mural tour. Beginning at the 3Sixty Hub, you’ll walk through the Eastcore neighborhood to experience a growing collection of murals created since 2022 as part of the Tulip City Walls Mural Festival, an initiative led by Eastcore neighbors to bring beauty, creativity, and connection to the community.

Along the way, you’ll learn about the artists behind each piece, the meaning and inspiration woven into the artwork, and the behind-the-scenes stories of how these murals came to life. From bold, large-scale installations to hidden gems tucked throughout the neighborhood, this tour offers a closer look at how art is helping shape Eastcore’s identity today.

Eastcore History Tour

90 minutes | $25 | Meet at the Van Raalte Statue (Centennial Park)

Step into the untold stories of one of Holland’s oldest neighborhoods! The Eastcore History Walking Tour traces Eastcore’s story from Native American trailways and early Dutch settlement to the challenges, tensions, and transformations that shaped the community over time.

Along the way, you’ll hear stories of resilience and change, from early hardships and the founding of local institutions to the impact of industry, immigration, and housing patterns that shaped who could call Eastcore home.

Led by longtime resident Lori Appeldoorn, this tour highlights the moments and stories that don’t often make it into history books, but define the neighborhood’s past and present.

  • Yes, street and nearby public parking are available. Please plan additional time to find parking, as both tours are near the heart of downtown and the epicenter of my Tulip Time activities and attractions.

  • Strollers and mobility aids are welcome, but please note that sidewalks may include uneven surfaces or curbs.

  • Only service animals are permitted on the tour. Please ensure they can comfortably keep pace with the group.
