What is Maplewood Connect?
This is a new space for Maplewood neighbors to gather, learn from one another, and take action on issues that matter most to our community.
Why come?
Join with your neighbors to discuss what matters most to you. Some topics that have come up recently are:
→ Updates about the future of the Maplewood School property
→ Parking and traffic concerns around the Youth Complex
→ Ideas for a neighborhood block party or Halloween event
Who’s leading?
This Maplewood Connect gathering is a partnership between 3Sixty and Maranatha Church. Jake Norris, Executive Director of 3Sixty, will help guide the conversation. Christen Bordenkircher, Maplewood’s Neighborhood Chaplain with Maranatha, will be connecting with neighbors through follow-up and one-on-one conversations. And Ethan Adams, a 3Sixty intern and senior at Hope College, will be supporting efforts by looking into neighborhood problem-solving and logistics and research.
Our goal:
Help neighbors identify top their priorities together and determine some next steps. Ethan and Christen will support the work moving forward.
Next gathering:
Thursday, November 14 – continuing the conversation and making progress.
Bring your ideas. Bring your questions. Bring your neighbor!
