Brian first knew a call to pioneering work in late college as he was meeting his wife and best friend, Amy. He was immersed in the revival season at Hope College in Holland, Michigan and in the Vineyard Movement, where he began to discern a calling to ministry and church planting. After graduating from Hope College with a degree with Art & Philosophy, and marrying his beautiful bride, Brian completed a 2 year pastoral training internship at Lakeshore Vineyard and for 2 additional years pastored the young adults there, living on rice, beans and ramen noodles.
Around the turn of the millennium, realizing a passion to more strongly link church and mission, Brian switched gears and became a licensed builder to bring home the bacon, helped start three different businesses with missional intent, planted and pastored a house church for seven years, founded 3sixty, and started a family. (whew!) Brian was ordained as an Anglican Priest in the summer of 2013, while planting All Saints Anglican Church in Holland, Michigan. Brian also serves on various boards and committees that work on housing and community development issues in the city of Holland. He, his wife of 17 years, and four children continue to happily live in the core city of Holland where they direct 3sixty, lead All Saints, homeschool their kids and still eat rice and beans and, occasionally, ramen noodles.
